Check those docks on Lake of the Ozarks
The annual drawdown is at its peak at the Lake of the Ozarks. While the Lake level remains fairly consistent the utility the owns Bagnell Dam must prepare for heavy spring rains that are headed our way. As you can see for the majority of the year the water level is within a few feet of the "full pool" of 660. The numbers are not the depth of the lake, but rather the elevation above sea level.
While the Lake is lower it can add additonal stress to your dock, especially if it hit the bottom or part of the dock is on dry land. The dock in the picture below illustrates this problem. Be very careful trying to fix these problems yourself as there can be a lot of stored energy and potential for injury. If you need recommendations for repairs, feel free to give me a call.
